- Fight the H8 -- FightTheH8.org started on November 4, 2008, in response to the passage of Proposition 8 in California, which wrote inequality and hatred into the state constitution, by banning same-sex marriage. This is the first time in US history that a group of people have had a right, and then had that right stripped away from them.
FightTheH8.org's primary purpose is to serve as the social and media arm of the fight against hate, in California and beyond, and to bring fairness and equality to everyone, including the right to marry.
FightTheH8.org is committed to going head to head with hatred and inequality, but our approach is very specific. We are determined not to fight hate with more hate. That would only be counter-productive in the long run. We choose to fight against hate with something even stronger - love
